MOMMIN HARD

At the peak of motorcycle racing in 2007 came a much needed rude awakening that brought my focus back to family. I spent 5&1/2 hours in the Nevada desert waiting for a helicopter to transport a friend and Professional racer after a serious crash. Tim and I had a 7 year old son at home and I was taking unnecessary risks racing at the level I had progressed to. So I took time off from

MAKING A COMEBACK

In 2016 our son, Grant, was his own man so it was time to feel that competitive rush again I craved. The natural progression for dirt bike racers is from motocross, to off road, to rally. So I shocked Tim and entered the NORRA Mexican 1000. A 5 day rally covering 1400 miles while navigating down the entire Baja peninsula.

Volunteering on my 2016 NORRA support crew was our talented friend and race car builder, Jake Batulis. He knew the trail riding mom version of me but had never seen the racer. Jake was so excited to see me on top of the podium in Cabo, I'll never forget his flattering words...
